A Minnie Mouse Birthday!

My sweet girl is about to turn 2!!!  We celebrated on Saturday with lots of family and friends and lots of Minnie Mouse decor.  SJ is OBSESSED with Minnie.  It was really fun and really easy to decorate with MM.  Most of the stuff we used, I already had.  I'm not big into character themed anything but when your little lady is in love with a character, you can't help but oblige her obsession.  It turned out pretty cute, I think!  Big thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us and love on Sarah.  And a special thanks to Kate for taking most of these pictures.  She wrote a sweet blog here that has a few more pics! We love you all!

Weekend recap...

This was the first weekend in about 6-7 weeks that we have simply stayed home and not even had plans. I missed seeing my brother in from Germany...and celebrating my good friend Lindsey turning 30. We can Skype with Bradley anytime and I can reschedule anytime with Linds, right? We had a garage sale Friday and Saturday mornings then a fun Make-your-own-pizza night on Saturday night with a few friends. It was good to actually be home. We got caught up on some major cleaning that had been neglected. The saddest part about the weekend is it's already Monday...darn! I hope you had a great weekend!

Easter Weekend!

What a fun Easter weekend!  My sister and brother in law dropped my mom and Carter off on Thursday night before they flew out of XNA for a vacation to Las Vegas.  Mom and I did so much!  Friday we did a little shopping and playing at the park.  Walked around the Bentonville Square, had lunch at The Station then headed home for nap time.  After naps we headed back to the square for more of Bentonville's First Friday events.  We ate dinner with this cutie!

The Kirbys were there enjoying the music and beautiful weather.
They were so sweet to buy all of the kiddos balloon figures.  The kids loved them!  For about 3 to 4 minutes anyway...as soon as they touched the grass, the balloons popped!
Saturday, Papa Larry arrived.  Mom and I did some furniture rearranging and cleaning around the house.  Later that evening, Grammy and Papa gave the kids their Easter baskets.  I think Carter was a little excited!
They both loved their fun toys and candy!
Easter morning we got around and headed to a great service at Trinity Grace.  Our church just moved to a new building and I love it.  Daniel kept mentioning how much energy he felt from others when he arrived to the new building.  We are all very excited for this new location!  I tried to get some cousin pics before we left for church...they wouldn't look at me!
Loving on my girl after an Easter lunch at Olive Garden!
"Seriously, mom, I don't have time to take a picture..."
An attempt at a grandparents/grandkids picture.  Caroline was already buckled in the car.
But she sure was happy once we got home and took some pictures!
I'm pretty sure we will have no good sister pictures until they are 5 and 6 years old.  One is always on the move!

Got Turkey?

Daniel spent part of Easter weekend in western Oklahoma turkey hunting. I think he had a blast because I have heard nonstop stories of the guys' adventures. Daniel helped Michael and Adam kill their first ever jakes (young male turkeys). Daniel was proud of his Tom kill also. I'm glad these guys had a fun time. I think Daniel is hoping it becomes a yearly tradition! Congrats on your kills, guys. Turkey stew anyone?
Pictures are of Michael, Adam and Daniel. Poor Rusty went without this year. :(

Weekend preview...

I have a lot of pictures on my camera to upload from this weekend but for now all you get is what's in my phone. :) Sarah was a part of our weekend but she won't hold still long enough for a picture!

Spring on the Square!

You may remember these pics from last spring when SJ and I held a mini photo-shoot in the tulips on the Bentonville Square.
The square is so beautiful this time of year.  Becca and I took our girls for a dinner picnic last Thursday evening.  It was such great weather and so fun!
Sweet Blair-bear!
 Caroline checking out the flowers...

Sarah and Blair had so much fun sticking their feet in the fountain and getting wet!
More Caroline cuteness.  She is the only model that doesn't move too quickly for the camera!
And I had to share these together!  That is Sarah in the first picture and Caroline in the second.  I guess we have found one similarity between the girls.  They both hate sitting in the grass!  Ha!

10 Months!

Sweet Caroline is really changing by leaps and bounds!  She has become so full of personality and I love it.  Although, I'm sad that she is growing up so much.  I love my baby chica and I don't want her to grow up!
Here are her latest "doings":
-Crawls to exactly what she wants to get her hands on.
-Pulls up to standing on whatever she wants.
-Not nearly as cautious as SJ was at this age.  We've already had several head bumps and bruises.
-Still eats like a champ!
-Still sleeps like a champ too!  Love that!
-Says mama and dada.
-Signs more but only when I say the word.
-Loves people...she had to sit between two teenagers on the way to Tulsa last weekend while I was driving.  I kept hearing little grunts and "ahhs" and I kept laughing because that's what she does when she wants somebody to look at her.  Mel and AT were so sweet to oblige my little chubs.

The Weekend!

What a great weekend! I dropped SJ off with Daniel Friday at 3. C and I then met the Pickerings for a trip through Tulsa (to drop Caroline off with my sister and eat at TEDS!!!) and on to Stillwater. You see, Melanie Pickeing is one of the smartest girls I know...she chose Oklahoma State as her college home! Yeah! Anyway, I accompanied Molly and Mel to Greek Discovery Day. I loved being in Stillwater and enjoying the amazing weather. Stillwater will always have a little piece of my heart. If you've never been, GO!

The random pic of people sitting at outside tables has one of my former crazy math professors in it. The one in khakis and white hair/beard...Slight Albert Einstein knockoff. Yeah, he wore that same outfit every day when I had him several years ago...and smoked the same cigars and rode the same bike around town. I did talk to him and he acted like he remembered me...is that good or bad?! Ha!

Caroline also had her first ride in a car seat facing forward. Don't worry, we didn't let her break the law for long...this was a slight necessity! She loved it, though!

I joined Amy in nursery this morning because of a little wardrobe malfunction. Don't worry, nothing like Janet Jackson! Anyway, Reese and Harper were in the class I helped in. Aren't they sweet??!!

The rest of the pictures are just a few of my favorite things/places at OSU. Enjoy!
