Tantrums, already?

Remember when I said Caroline throws tantrums? Well, I finally got a video of her little banging-head-on-floor routine. Sorry for the crying, but really, how funny is she throwing that head down on the floor?!

Tulsa Trip

We went to visit Keeli again the weekend after she was born.  We had a great visit with everyone including Aunt Susie, Leslie and Brach who all came to meet Miss K on Friday night.  Thanks for a fun weekend Papa and Ree (the grandma formerly known as Grammy).
Look at those dimples!

A New Trick!

SJ started doing this the other day. We have no idea where she learned it! We think maybe one of our babysitters taught her but none of them have taken credit. Either way, it's super cute!

My 0NE year old!

Better late than never, right?

Oh sweet girl, Happy Birthday!  From your first moments in our lives, you have brought so much surprise and emotion to this family.  I currently find your tantrums hilarious as you throw your head down on the ground and cry then immediately stop, sit up and look to see if I'm paying attention.  Of course, I try not to smile but you're too stinking cute not to!  We recently moved you to a facing forward car seat and you could have cared less.  You are still a happier car rider than your sister and I appreciate that immensely!  You continue to sleep and eat like a champ.  Other than when you get hungry or pushed down by big sister, you are always happy!  I can tell you have a feisty side and I love it...right now anyway!  Must be that red hair gene. You love to dance by shaking your booty and bobbing your head.  And, you're so proud of yourself when mommy and daddy cheer you on.  You are just learning how to walk. You will stand up in the middle of the floor without any props. You can take several steps at once but still prefer crawling. I know you are close to switching over to walking because you can't stop concentrating on SJ when she runs around you! You can tell us "nigh nigh" (night night) when it's time to hit the hay.  You wave and clap whenever I ask you to.  We pray for you always, little lady and can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for your life!  Love you!

Pool Party

We celebrated Caroline's birthday the weekend after her birthday and it was such a perfect little get together.  There were lots of tiny friends that joined in the celebration.  Thanks to everyone who was able to make it!  And, those of you that couldn't come, we missed you!

Welcome Keeli!

I had quite the privilege to attend the birth of my third niece, Keeli.  She is my sister's second baby and she is so stinkin' cute!  We already love this little gal and I can't wait to spoil her as she grows up.  Welcome to the family, Keeli!

Big Girl Bed

I apologize in advance for the boring post. This one is more for my future reference for C than anything else!

As most of you know SJ is quite the climber. Because of this skill of hers we have had to transition to a big bed earlier than I wanted to. We put together the top half of the bunk beds we purchased a few months ago. It has railing all the way around it so she can't fall out. We've already had a black eye in this bed so it's not like the rails really protect her that much. Ha!

The big problem we are currently facing is the getting out of bed and coming into the living room. We've tried the following to force her to stay: spanking (she knows she is disobeying), silently picking her up and returning her to the bed, locking the door, extra mommy/daddy time when sister is in bed, quiet time alone in her room before bed, and the list goes on and on. The one thing I haven't tried is making her nap end earlier. I sooooo don't want this one! It was only brought up this week so it's not like I've thought about it for a while but refused to try it. I know some of you were judging. Ha! Anyway, the last two weeks have turned into a nightly two hour ordeal to get her to sleep. Anything out there that worked on your kids? I welcome any and all suggestions! And for sticking with me, here is where we found her sleeping last night before we went to bed. And, Daniel found her asleep in the living room floor this morning. Oh dear...
