It was a girls' night out last Friday with Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker and Thompson Square as the entertainment. My mom, sister and sister-in-law, Betsy bought our tickets 3 months ago and slowly counted down the days. The wait was well worth it! TS was decent. They are a married couple and their number one song, Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not was great but disappointing because they didn't even kiss at the end! Bummer! Could have totally made the song. Darius, aka Hootie, was really good. That boy can sing! Then came Lady A. Wow! That's all I can say! They were amazing. The two lead singers acted more in love than the married Thompson Square folks. It totally sells the songs, y'all! I love me some country music. Lady A is by far my favorite group. I knew every song except one or two. If you sort of like country music. Or have at least heard of Lady Antebellum, you should totally go see them. They are fun entertainers. I'll definitely be going back!
And, on a side note...I've been blogging from my phone lately. That's why my pics aren't great and are all at the end of each post. Someday I'll stop being lazy and pull out my dinosaur of a laptop and upload some new pics. Until then, enjoy these fuzzy few!

Kiddos
I've been so blessed with great friends that are so flexible about swapping kids with me. I love that we serve each other and give each other the precious little bits of alone time we can. I also love spending time with the other kids that come play with my girls! It's so fun! Here are a couple of pics from the last couple of weeks and my sweet time with Riley, Jude and Reese. I've also spent a lot of time with Blair-bear but haven't snapped a pic of her. I'll get one soon. And, that last picture is Miss Ellie Harris feeding Caroline a bottle. She's only 3! Such a great helper. She also took great care of SJ at the chick-fil-a play place last week. If only she could drive, I'd totally pay her to babysit! Enjoy!

Treasures
Cmom and Grandfather are packing up and headed to LA...lower Arkansas that is. In their packings the girls have picked up a few treasures to bring home such as this adorable vintage tee from Colorado (cmom's home!).

So behind!
Well I'm way behind on updating my blog...we have been so busy. I'm ready to kick January to the curb. She's been a you-know-what if you know what I mean. Started with a bang...with SJ's staph infection on Dec 30. We welcomed the new year with two solid weeks of doctors visits to clean that up. Finally, on Friday the 13th we were done and she was on the mend. Then, Tuesday the 17th my back started aching. Wed-Fri not much better. Saturday a little worse waking up Sunday to the worst pain. I might have OD'ed on some pain meds that day but that's another story. Finally, last Monday I gave in and went to a chiropractor for the first time. He took one look at me and informed me my hips were uneven by an inch forcing my spine to lean which in turn caused my muscles to strain to hold everything together (I actually have a pic of my way leaning torso but I will not be showing that!) Finally, on this past Friday I started feeling better. Oh but wait, it gets better.
Both girls then have the worst day of their lives that day. I decide to take them to the doc since it's Friday at 3 pm and I don't want to go all weekend if they are sick. By God's good grace we are worked into see our favorite dr, Dr. Declerk. Turns out both girls have double ear infections AND colds. Oh brother!!! It was a rough next couple of hours but we survived and they felt much better by Saturday morning. We have a few more days left in this month so more things could happen...please pray that nothing does!!
We've also had some fun trips this month so it hasn't been all that terrible. The Campbells hosted us in Kansas City on the 13th and the Eberharts hosted us on the 14th. We had so much fun catching up with great college friends and eating way yummy food. This past Saturday we celebrate Shelly's 30th birthday in OKC and got to see even more great college friends. This upcoming weekend has some fun things planned too but I will save the details for another blog.
If you're still with me after this novel here are some picture rewards...

Christmas #4
I've been missing some pictures from our Christmas travels so I'm just now getting to update one more of our celebrations! We had so much fun in Mazie with Daniel's family. We got to meet our newest niece Eva for the first time and spend quality time with Carrie, Nate and Lily...don't forget, Aunt Betsy, Cmom and Grandfather! Oh, and Aunt Lois was there the first couple of days as well. Get ready for picture overload!
Daniel loves cooking around our house...he totally gets that from his mom!
SJ tried rotel dip for the first time...
Ole' for Queso!
Girl after my own heart, right there!
Sweet loveliness...
Caroline tried a mum mum for the first time...loved it!
One day we got to go visit the dogs that were boarded at the kennel, we had great weather this year!
SJ waving to the pups
There's serious Eva on her walk!
Horses! SJ loved them!
I'm pretty sure she was in Heaven right here with the doggies!
My attempt at an artsy sunset shot...
We celebrated Christ on Christmas Eve. Aunt Betsy read us the story of Christ's birth from Luke.
Please don't miss Daniel posing in this shot...
We sang Happy Birthday Jesus and Lily got to blow out the candles!
The four granddaughters in their matching outfits...
Sisterly love...awwwww!
This picture just makes me laugh, Lily's relaxed sleepy eyes with Eva not too happy, so cute!
Unfortunately, I left my camera's memory card in Mazie so I don't have pictures from Christmas #5 with Grammy and Papa. :( Kati has a few so I'll have to snag some of her's when I can. We had a great time there as well! Finger foods, yummy Christmas dinner and of course TONS of gifts to open. We are so thankful for all of our family hosting us on our tour de' Oklahoma for Christmas. Love you all!

Sewing!
We haven't been up to much around here lately...oh except fighting a huge staph infection on SJ's bottom. FUN! (A few weeks ago, I would have used the four-letter B word instead of bottom. But, some sweet ladies in my BSF group hate that word so I'm working on deleting it from my vocab. Ha)
I've been getting a request for updates to the blog so here ya go!
The sewing machine has been revived and I've been pumping out some fun projects!
Pic 1 is a lamp cord cover
Pic 2...well, let's just say "Baby" got new clothes. :)
Pic 3 is a new camera strap cover

7 Months!
My baby is 7 months! We have entered my favorite stage! I love babies between 6 and 10 months. Okay, I "love" them always, but these few months were my absolute favorite with Sarah. I'm happy and sad that Caroline has reached this age. Not that I know what babies and kids are like past 20 months old, there could be a few more love stages. We'll see! Until then, here are C's monthly milestones!
-Weighs about 16.5 pounds (60th percentile) and 27 inches long (90th percentile)
-Sitting up!
-Eats her bottles and baby food like a champ, so much that a 2nd and 3rd chin have appeared on her!
-Not too far from crawling, pushes up and slides backward.
-can do a 360 degree turn on her belly
-Her squawking has turned into more discernible noises, ba ba, da da, etc.
-Sleeps about 12 straight hours and takes two 2 hour naps
