We took Sarah to the nearby pool yesterday. I wanted to check it out to see if it's something I think I'll be able to do this summer with both girls. After less than an hour there, my question was answered with a big fat NO! Sarah is too small to "swim" in the pool and she wanted to stand up the whole time, yet the big kids (that should have been in the big pool) kept making too big of waves so she kept falling over. I told a couple of kids that were at least 8 or 9 to go back to the big pool. Ha! They wanted to get close to Sarah but kept splashing her in the face. I was annoyed! So, having a newborn and keeping 100% attention on SJ seems impossible! We'll go on the weekends occasionally when Daniel is home, though!
On another note, SJ loved the water! She got her face dunked a few times and didn't care. She went on her belly a lot and tried to float but never quite got it. I'm excited to spend some time with her at Grammy and Papa's pool this summer or maybe an apartment complex pool that's not busy.

13 Months...and some baby news
Here are some fun things SJ is up to...
Walking officially 95% of the day! She started on May 15th and hasn't really looked back. I no longer feel the stress to keep my floors completely sterilized and clean since her hands aren't on the ground near as much. And may I please say, she is so adorable walking around. Very proud of herself too!
She loves climbing in things...
And on top of things...

As I sit here typing this post she is trying to figure out how to climb on top of her toy stroller and onto the coffee table. I believe she has turned into a monkey! I'm loving this stage of her life. She's happy most of the day and loves to explore and have Daniel and I watch her do her new tricks. We love you Sarah Jane!
In other baby news, today I am 37 weeks and 6 days along. I have been 90% effaced and dilated to a 1.5-2 for the last two weeks. I'm getting impatient with this waiting game! Can't wait to meet this little baby girl...and give her a name. I know our family is annoyed not knowing a name but for some reason Daniel and I feel no urgency to name her. Sorry fam! We have 7 names picked out, I'll go ahead and share them...feel free to give me your number one pick. :)

My doctor thinks I have at least another week to go before we meet this baby girl. I guess I should be soaking up the one-on-one time with Sarah!

Sarah's One Year Stats
I forgot to do this when she turned 1 over 3 weeks ago! Doesn't she look like a big girl in the picture above? She's not a fan of the headbands anymore so we tried just a bow. Looks a little dorky!
Weight: 20 lb 7 oz
Height: 30 inches
New Facts:
-No longer fusses when we put her down for naps or bedtime. She just goes down like a big girl. I'm so proud of her!
-Has all 4 top front teeth coming in...I think that explains her attitude/behavior from 11 months to 12 months!
-Talks to her toys and it's so cute!
-Pretends to take a drink or a bite of anything you give her.
-Claps on command.
-Waves hello and bye on command.
-Says "ny ny" when she means "no". I just say "it isn't night night time yet!". I'm not acknowledging the no yet!
-Raises her arms up high when you ask "How big is Sarah?"
-I'm leaving out a lot but I wanted to get some of the sweet things down. We are so blessed to have this little lady. She is going to be a great big sister soon! Can't wait to watch that relationship develop!

Sarah's First Zoo Trip
Thanks C-Mom!
The Tuesday after the zoo I stopped to pick up my MIL and bring her back to Arkansas. Daniel had mentioned maybe having me pick her up and then meeting his dad later in the week for dinner to drop her back off. I didn't realize at the time how much help she was going to be! Of course she is always a big help but we had a lot going on this week! Tuesday night Daniel and I got a TON of stuff ready for a garage sale. Wednesday I had three big things I wanted to attend and could not take SJ to any of them so C-mom kept SJ for most of the day! Wednesday night Daniel and I loaded and dropped off all of our garage sale items...again something that would have been very difficult with SJ. Then Thursday, we stuck around the house for the morning, ran to Target and ended our visit with lunch at Whole Hog with Daniel and Grandfather.
Thank you, Connie, for all of the help you were while you were here. She did laundry, cleaned, mopped, cooked and I know there are things that she did that I didn't even see. Love you!
