SJ has been making this face a lot lately...it makes me laugh because there's a cute little sound that goes along with it. Thanks to Kiley for capturing it because I've had no luck!

Wilkommen Zuhause
That's "welcome home" in German (I think it's grammatically correct...but either way most of you won't know! ha!). We got to spend a couple of days with our favorite Germans, the Haberstrohs. Doug and Laura brought their new bundle of cuteness, Dathan...I was so excited to meet him!
Jennifer stopped by to meet Dathan as well!
Everyone in plaid!

Easter Weekend
We had a wonderful Easter weekend! It started out Thursday night at C-mom's and Grandfather's....Sarah loves their dog Sally...
We had a yummy ham dinner for lunch on Friday followed by final shopping for the birthday party. That night I headed to Bixby to prepare for Sarah's birthday party. Praise the Lord my sister and mom were there to help...I would never have gotten everything done! The party was great and Kati even cleaned everything up! Thanks sis!
Sunday morning we headed to church with Grammy and Papa. Sarah and Carter got to go to the nursery together and were both playing and smiling when we returned. I tried to get some shots of SJ in her dress after church but this sweet little girl was hungry and tired...and wouldn't sit or stand still. Regardless, here are a couple of cute ones.
Just look at that happiness, so cute!

New Carseat
SJ has a love/hate relationship with her carseat...well, actually I think it's more of a hate relationship. She's been crying/screaming everytime I put her in her seat the last two or three weeks so I decided to move her on up to the new one. Being about a week before her first birthday and the fact that she is over the 20 lb minimum weight limit I figured it wouldn't be that big of a deal. And, who wouldn't love facing forward vs. facing backward? Not my child. She didn't care. Darn! We went on a 5 hour trip this weekend and the ride there was TERRIBLE! She wouldn't sleep, wouldn't play and genuinely loathed sitting in that chair. Ugh! Thankfully, the ride back on Sunday was MUCH smoother. She actually took two naps, ate snacks (thanks Shawn for the tip!), and played with toys and books. We didn't even turn the DVD player on for the trip home! We watched it twice on the way on Friday. Anyway, if you have any tips for making long trips a little smoother...please share!
Get me out of this dang seat!
(Please notice the upside down paci...her preferred way of using it!)
This book is crap, mom. Where is my Jenny B. Jones book?

Thanks Grammy!
My mom came to visit last week and let's just say she brought her "workin' pants". We did so much while she was here and she was such a big help! Here's a short list of all that she did to help:
-paint the new nursery
-put together the crib
-paint the new nursery
-put together the crib
-put together the dresser -move lots of furniture around the house
-clean
-and of course play with Sarah!

It's Finally Spring!
We had a little photo shoot at the Bentonville Square the other night...the tulips are amazing! I love spring!

Happy Baby
SJ spends a lot of her play time in this position...legs up, belly crunched and intent focus. I've had a few people mention that it seemed odd. I didn't know it was odd until I realized no other babies we are around do this little pose. Anyway, I asked the doctor if it was anything to be concerned about and he said it was just her "happy baby pose". Good deal! I think it's kind of cute!

First Birthday Invitation?
I got an email today from thebump.com that was titled "Your 49 week old". I thought, "wow that means she'll be 52 weeks in 3 weeks." Then I thought, "crap, I haven't done birthday invitations!" So, I decided to do a photo card (way easy!) and found this adorable print at Walmart! Pretty much goes with the spring/ladybug theme I had planned to do for her party. What do ya think?

Prego Belly-30 Weeks 1 Day
04-02-2011
Just to document this pregnancy in a pic, I thought I'd share one photo. I am NOT a fan of pictures of myself at this stage! I just want to make sure I have at least one to look back at...someday.

11 Months
Eleven months has been one of the funnest months by far! Sarah is growing up so quickly and it just makes me sad! I continue to be amazed at the things she learns, understands and does. What an honor to be her momma!
Fun Facts:
-Clearly says "mama" when prompted but in the last couple of days she says it when she sees me...heart-melting, I tell ya!
-Also says "dada" but not sure if she recognizes Daniel as daddy...
-However, when Daniel comes home in the evenings, SJ insists on his constant attention for at least 15-20 minutes. It's so funny! She will NOT let him put her down.
-Smiles, laughs, makes high pitched noises when she wants someone's attention...mostly at strangers!
-Down to one official bottle per day...lovin' this!
-Still working on that darn sippy cup...likes the liquid in her mouth but won't always swallow...weird!
-Eats 3 official meals a day.
-Poops 4 times a day...ugh! (Gross that I put this, yes, but it's for my future reference with the next baby!)
-Crawls FAST wherever she wants to go.
-Walks by holding hands and around furniture.
-Sleeps about 12 hours at night, naps about 3 hours.
-Points at things and "talks". Love the babbling!
And, sweet Sarah was chosen on Wednesday this week to be the "prop" during BSF. Her teacher was asked to come to the large women's group and share the lesson that they do in the infant class so that the women know what goes on in those classes. SJ got to go on stage and sit in her teacher's lap and have the Bible lesson read to her in front of everyone (I'm guessing there were about 200-250 women)! And let me tell ya, this momma was so proud of her little girl. She just sat there and looked at her teacher and didn't make one peep! Oh, she was so good! Her teacher had been asked to use a doll as a prop but Miss Heather said she would have felt silly doing that. So, instead, she asked if she could use Sarah because she knew she wouldn't be afraid on stage. Way to go, Sarah!
