Daniel is loving spring!

Well...sort of! Daniel has to miss his annual turkey hunting trip with his good friend Shawn C. this year. Something has come up during April that is keeping him from going too far from Bentonville...BABY SARAH'S ARRIVAL! He was, however, able to go this past Saturday for a few hours. He came home empty handed and is now itching to go back because he thinks he was "outsmarted" by an old Tom. Hunting is just one hobby I will never understand!

He and his good friend Wes W. had Good Friday off so they took advantage of the time to go float the Kings River and fish for the day. They each caught a few fish and from what I gathered they both had a blast.

Daniel also had the Monday after Easter off and got started on some landscaping in our front yard. I don't have any pics of during the project but here are some of the final product. I'm very proud...now if we only had some grass for our little girl to play on...hint hint :-).

We also attended a Northwest Arkansas Naturals game Saturday night with our great friends the Lutzs. It was a great evening for sitting outside and watching some baseball. I can't believe this is one of the last weekends we'll have without a baby. We're trying to squeeze in as much as we can before baby because, as we've heard a million times, life will not be the same once Sarah is here!

Becca and I started decorating Friday night by putting up the tree decal. It took a lot of time but I am so happy with the results. Thanks Becca!! (BTW, Becca is about 6'1" so you can tell how tall the tree is).

Daniel and I finished hanging everything else today. I feel like it's finally finished...

Oklahoma Weekend

What a weekend! We started the weekend off Thursday evening in Chouteau visiting Daniel's family. It had been since Christmas since we had seen Carrie and Lily and it was fun to see how much Lily has grown in just 3 months! We also got to celebrate Betsy's birthday that night. Betsy, don't forget, "Metallics are in!"


Friday, we drove to Tulsa to spend the night with my parents. I had another fabulous shower on Saturday the 27th. So many gifts, friends and family. Definitely another spoiled time for me and Sarah! I loved catching up with my college girlfriends on Saturday morning at Queenie's and then having lunch with the aunts and cousins before the shower. We are extremely blessed by all of you! A special thank you to my hostesses: Kati, Shelly, Lindsey, Chandra, Hannah and Kat. I love you! Thanks for a great day!


Sunday, we thought we were making a quick trip to Babies R Us to return one of the 2 Diaper Genie's we had received. That "quick" trip turned into almost 2 hours! My mom and I love the store but Daniel has added it to the top of his "Worst Stores Ever" list. It now tops Hobby Lobby and Bath and Body Works! Ha!

I am unbelievably spoiled.

My good friends, Becca Kirby, Leslie Lutz and Kate Walker, hosted a beautiful and wonderful baby shower for me on Saturday. The food was amazing, the company was terrific and the presents were way too much! I feel so spoiled and little Sarah now has so many fabulous things to get her started on her journey when she arrives. What a true blessing Saturday was with everyone that came and took time out of their day for us. A huge thank you to all of you! Enjoy the pics...

Sarah's Bedroom

I have finally found some motivation to get started on this room! Not sure what it was but we have made progress. We painted one wall green to match the green in the bedding. We'll also paint a little side table the same color that will go with the brown rocking chair we finally ordered yesterday. I'm also going to order a wall decal to put on the green wall and I already have a few various items to add around the rest of the room. I can't wait for it all to come together. In the meantime, here is what we've done so far...not much I know! But hey, she has somewhere to sleep and get her diapers changed...that's a good start, right?!

New Guest Room!

I don't have a lot to write about this week...so...I thought I'd share some pictures of our recent redecorating in the guest room. We sold all of the furniture that was in the room and used that money to purchase new things for the room. Come stay with us!

I have finally hung up pictures from London...our Spring Break trip from 2007!

Now...on to the nursery! Some things have been purchased but there is still a LOT of work to do in that room. Pictures will come soon!

Sarah's Newest Picture

Here is little Sarah at about 29 weeks. I'm sure the face is easy to make out for those untrained ultrasound eyes. She has her thumb poking in her eye and you can follow that down and see her arm. Wrapped up the front of her arm is her leg. She looks very flexible! I'm not sure where she gets that because neither of us are flexible...we can't even touch our toes! The ultrasound technician also told us Sarah has a lot of hair...not sure what I think about that.

Some fun things that have happened in the last week are...

• Daniel and I SAW my belly move. She's definitely getting stronger!
• She moves all the time...I'm pretty sure she's going to be an active little thing.
• I think I felt hiccups for the first time today at church. There was a rhythmic little beat and I could feel it on the outside with my hand.

We sure look forward to meeting this little girl!
